More summer reading ideas

It's going to be heating up outside this week so it's a good time to take advantage of the cool (pun intended) atmosphere in the library.

You may have heard of the Green Mountain books or the Green Mountain Book Award. This is the third year so there are now three different lists of suggested reading for teens. The library has most of these books. If you read DCF books when you were younger you'll enjoy GMB's now. Click here to get a list of this year's (and previous years') books. You'll find options to see them in HTML or download a PDF file.

Happy Reading!

Summer Reading

If you need some ideas for reading, check out Nancy Pearl's new book called Book crush : for kids and teens ; recommended reading for every mood, moment, and interest / Nancy Pearl.

Nancy Pearl is a librarian in Seattle. She is so cool that she even has an action figure modeled after her!

The book has a lot of suggestions in it for both kids and teens. If you see something that looks good and we don't have it, why not make a suggestion for purchase? It's easy. Just ask for a green slip at the front desk.
