Cute Rabbit Friday

Probably one of the first rabbits that any of us remember is Peter Rabbit. Check out this Beatrix Potter website to find out all you ever wanted to know about this famous rabbit. Did you know that Benjamin Bouncer was Beatrix's first pet rabbit?

Attention Manga Fans--

For those of you who are deep into it here is something to consider for the future. Probably you have already thought about (dreamed about) going to Japan where manga originated. How about going to Japan AND learning how to draw and write manga at the very first university program for manga?!

Kyoto Seika University now offers a degree in manga. Can you believe it? They also do accept some foreign students and do some exchanges. But for now, you will have to learn Japanese to be able to enter this particular program.

Something to think--and dream-- about....

If you need to write a report....

Well, of course it depends on what your subject matter is, but check out this website. It might be a good starting point for you. It is what is called a "gateway site" as it will lead you to other sites. Some of the broad topics you will find are: health, history, money, homework, global village, government, careers, computers, plants and animals... and more. It is for "kids of all ages" so share this with your parents and younger brothers and sisters, too.

Do you know what all the URL endings mean? If you do, please note that this is NOT a .com site, but rather a .gov site. However, it may lead you to a .com or a .edu site. Did that make any sense at all????

And remember that when you need help with reports the reference desk is THE place to go!!
